An arrival that did not go unnoticed !
On Monday evening, the ship Vole au Vent attracted everyone's attention during its technical stopover of a few days in Lorient.
This jack-up vessel, operated by Jan de Nul, plays a key role in the installation of offshore wind turbines at the Noirmoutier – Île d'Yeu wind farm (EMYN).
Equipped with an impressive crane, the Vole au Vent is designed to safely install the foundations and heavy components of offshore wind farms. Thanks to its self-elevating legs, it can raise itself above sea level and work in a perfectly stable manner, regardless of the swell conditions.
A.M.L managed the port call of this extraordinary vessel in the port of Lorient.
